I reserved a room that came with an essential hairdryer.

The restaurant was nice and the breakfast was good with better prices, sausages plus quickie foods. The location was excellent, really close to Buffaloes Statue. A market and different stores were right next door.

The room was reasonably large and stylish, I had really comfortable experience.

The staff was very welcoming, helped a lot. Truly enjoyed our rooms with my cell phone.

Wonderful small hotel with nice style and accommodating staff. Favourable, excellent location in Embassy Row district near to the metro station. Also, near everything in the nation's capital.

The staff at this top-class hotel was attentive and provided outstanding service. the well-equipped room with wifi was modern and comfortable. - Breakfast was enjoyable and good. - the hotel's location next to multiple shops and the Lincoln Memorial was particularly convenient.

We liked staying here, it's original and ideal hotel with pleasant staff from the valet to the receptionist.

Comfortable and clean rooms with easy temperature control. Lovely historic building in a beautiful and walkable neighborhood. Helpful staff with good food and drink service. Wonderful location near restaurants, bars, and music venues.

I would not book this hotel again for the following reasons: Great room but windows faced a brick wall - no view at all $47.20 for parking - Embassy Row was $32 No complimentary Coffee ? $2 for a small coffee at Prime 9 - actully that did it for me

Both the staff and the hotel were more than we expected. We had stayed at the Fairfax many years ago, when the Jockey Club was there. It has the same feeling of service and familiarity and elegance it had then. The price was reasonable and the location ideal for us. The people were all friendly. We would certainly go back and probably will!

Small complaint: the bathroom exhaust fan turns on automatically when you turn on the light needed to see well in the br. The nopise is bothersome. Move the control for the exhaust over to the other br light.

The Fairfax At Embassy Row is a grand hotel with a fantastic location. We booked a grand deluxe king room and greatly enjoyed it. The hotel is conveniently located near the Dupont Circle subway stop, which is just a short 4-6 minute walk away.

Location and beauty of the building. Staff very friendly.

Hotel restuarants should be open every night. Extra blanketsa should be stock in rooms. Mattresses need better pads.

Not cheap, but compared to other four-star hotel in DC, the price is actually quite competitive. The hotel deduct the full room price plus some deposit of 150$ from my credit card before I check out, which later explained as authorizing the amount from my bank rather than taking the money. Still need to find out if the deposit has been returned back to my card... Otherwise, great stay!
